AN eight-year-old has impressed the town's MP with her stunning Christmas card design.
Amira Giles, who attends Stanway Fiveways Primary School, has won Witham MP Priti Patel's Christmas card competition.
Many schools took part and Ms Patel will present Amira with the Christmas card she designed, and a prize.
She will send the competition’s runners-up, whose designs will also be showcased on the back of her Christmas card, a congratulatory gift and certificate.
She said: "I am very impressed by the superb quality of this year’s submissions.
"Pupils across the Witham constituency have demonstrated once again their skilled creativity and hard work, and they should be very proud of the artwork they submitted.
"I would like to congratulate Amira for her winning design which will look wonderful on my Christmas card this year.
"I would also like to praise the runners-up and all participating pupils, and extend to them, their parents, and the school staff, my very best wishes for Christmas and New Year.”
The runners-up include:
