A TESCO delivery driver was injured in a hit and run while he was making his rounds.
The victim was in Old Heath Road, Colchester, shortly before 5pm yesterday when a passing white van struck his own van before also injuring him.
The driver of the passing white van then drove away without stopping.
The victim, a 31-year-old man, was taken to hospital with injuries, which were not believed to be serious.
A Tesco spokesman said: "We wish our colleague a quick recovery and are supporting him, as well as assisting the police with their investigation."
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: "An ambulance officer and ambulance crew attended to a report of a man in his 30s who had a pelvis injury.
"He was treated at the scene and taken to Colchester General Hospital for further care.
"His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening."
Witnesses or anyone spotted the white transit-style van should contact PC Robert Elvin at Stanway Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting incident 721 of November 14.
