A MAN has been charged with robbery following an incident in a post office.
The incident happened at the post office, in Market Street, Harwich, at about 12.20pm yesterday.
Mark Dove, 30, of Briardale Avenue, Dovercourt, has been charged with robbery and is due in Chelmsford Magistrates' Court today.
Police were called to the post office after a man demanded cash from the till and was then stopped from leaving by passers-by.
He was arrested at the scene.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "We would like to thank members of the public who assisted with the arrest yesterday."
