A FORMER pirate radio station is offering visitors the chance to board its broadcast ship.
Radio Caroline is moored off Mersea Island and trips to its ship, Ross Revenge, begin this weekend.
The trips are set to begin on Sunday, when Radio Caroline DJs will also be broadcasting from the ship.
Visitors will cast off from West Mersea jetty on Razorbill 3, skippered by Stuart Belbin.
The trips are being managed by Albert Hood, who began his Radio Caroline career 40 years ago by running illegal tenders to the ship from Brightlingsea.
Trips cost £30 per person or £25 per person if travelling as a couple.
To book places, call Albert on 01255 470093 or 07984 572353 or email ahood2@sky.com.
