A YOUTH festival in Brightlingsea is back at the end of this month.

The Energize Brightlingsea event in Promenade Way, which attracted more than 2,500 visitors last year, will go ahead on June 30.

Activities include a skate park, graffiti displays, zumba and football, street dance and live music.

Organiser Mark Liggins said: “Energize Youth Festival is a high energy, contemporary youth culture experience designed to Energize its own community through its youth. Parents are actively encouraged to share the things their kids are into.

“It’s free to enter and every effort is made to make it an inexpensive day so parents can enjoy this family day without emptying their pockets.

“We look forward to a sunny day but will be going full steam ahead even if the weather turns out to be English. We are a voluntary group dedicated to putting on some fun.”

The day runs from noon until 7pm.
