PRIMARY school kids are looking forward to doing their school work outside whatever the weather.
Children from Brinkley Grove Primary School, in Rawlings Crescent, Colchester, helped principal Lorraine Mitchell open the £8,000 outdoor gazebo classroom on Friday.
The building will allow children to learn outdoors, especially in the summer term, rather than staying in the classroom.
Sue Young, of the Friends of Brinkley Grove, which contributed £4,000 towards the project, said: “We are delighted to have helped raise funds to buy the new gazebo.
“We hope the children will enjoy using it as part of their creative learning.”
Miss Mitchell added: “Our children will take part in a wide range of activities, which will provide them with many opportunities to expand their learning in an inspiring and motivating environment.”
