An artist's impression of a van involved in an attempted abduction of a seven-year-old girl is being compiled as part of detectives' hunt for the man responsible.
Police officers hope the sketch will lead them to vital information about the vehicle involved in the incident, which saw a man try to lure the young girl into his van in Church Street, Braintree, near to its junction with The Lillies.
The man got hold of her coat and tried to coax her in, but she managed to break free and run off on Thursday, October 5, between 4.15pm and 4.30pm.
