A councillor has called for a review of flooding policy after claiming poorer families cannot afford to defend their homes.
Tending councillor Chris Griffiths has called for a review after concerns raised during the high tides early this month. Tending Council's flooding policy during the high tides, which were the highest for more than 20 years, included selling sandbags to residents at £3.50 each.
Mr Griffiths was concerned the current policy forced residents to pay for sandbags, and feared that people on low incomes wouldn't be able to afford them.
