Revellers are hitting out at drunken yobs following a weekend of violence in a seaside town.

The outcry follows an incident in Rosemary Road, Clacton, at 12.35am on Sunday in which door staff were injured.

One reveller, who asked not to be named, said: "It's disgraceful. Every time I go out in Clacton, there seems to be a fight. I just wanted to have a nice time out with my friends, but there always seems to be somebody causing problems."

A spokesman for Clacton police said there were six incidents of public disorder outside venues in Clacton, including one in which a member of the door staff was injured.
