Get on your bike to beat the Colchester jams.
With traffic regularly coming to a standstill in Colchester, four people used different transport methods to get into the town centre.
The results have shown cycling is by far the quickest way into town - with the car trailing in third place after being beaten by the bus. Walking may be good for fitness, but it proved to be the slowest way to travel.
Four Colchester2020 members volunteered for the experiment. The strategic partnership, which is driving forward key schemes in the town as part of its bid to make Colchester a prestige regional centre, held the race to mark its meeting today which is focusing on transport.
