Police today vowed to clamp down on a spate of attacks which has seen 15 cars keyed in 24 hours.
For the past few months, motorists in the south of Colchester have been plagued by vandals scratching their cars with keys. About 15 incidents of cars being scratched with keys were reported in 24 hours over the weekend, and in each case a swirling, spiral pattern was scratched into the paintwork.
