A martime town is singing out about its long naval history.
A sea shanty festival, organised by members of the Royal Marine Shanty Crew, took place in Harwich at the weekend.
The first Harwich Sea Shanty Festival took place at Harwich Town Yacht Club, the New Bell pub, the Low Lighthouse and the Ha'penny pier.
Shanty singers and groups from across the UK, as well as Holland and Denmark, converged on the town to sing songs of the sea.
