A hospice is planning to build a wind turbine to cut down on its electricity bills.
St Helena Hospice in Colchester has applied for planning permission for a turbine at its Barncroft Close site in High Woods.
The hospice, a registered charity, hopes that the installation will, in time, eliminate the need to pay for the use of electricity.
A planning application for the wind turbine has gone in to Colchester Council. Its planning department will make a decision in the near future.
