It wasn't a case of young love but the young pretenders when a couple of seven-year-olds "tied the knot".
A regular school day turned into a wedding day for pupils at Wivenhoe's Millfields School.
Youngsters from year three took on the roles of bride, groom, flower girls, bridesmaids and best man for a mock wedding at the nearby St Mary's Church.
The ceremony, with Rosie McDonagh and Jake Martin as bride and groom, involved the children's parents, grandparents and neighbour, who acted as guests.
