A shopkeeper relived the moment masked robbers armed with a shotgun and baseball bat raided his store.
Three men wearing dark clothing and balaclavas struck at East Bergholt village store and post office on Friday morning. They forced store boss Alec Gardner and two members of staff into a back office and ordered them to open the safe.
Mr Gardner said: "One had a sawn-off shotgun, one had a crowbar and the third had a baseball bat. They told us to open the safe and got the money.
"They were nervous of our dog, a very large german shepherd, but they had the upper hand because of the weapons. They were in and out very quickly."
