A BEGGAR banned from Colchester’s Greenstead estate has appeared in court charged with breaching an asbo and a restraining order.
Bevan Ash, 42, is prevented from entering Greenstead under the terms of an antisocial behaviour order imposed at Colchester County Court on February 28. He is alleged to have breached the asbo on April 27.
Ash, formerly of Charles Pell Road, Greenstead, is also charged with breaching a restraining order made by magistrates in April 2009, which banned him from Stanley Wooster Way, on April 17.
Lucy Osborn, representing Ash, said details of the banning orders were sent to him in prison but Ash was unable to read.
No plea was entered during a hearing at Colchester Magistrates’ Court.
Magistrates turned down a bail application and remanded Ash in custody until his next hearing at the court, which will be on May 31.
