CHANGES to dangerous dog laws will come too late for my Daniel, a Colchester mum has complained.
Alexis Smith has been trying to get justice for more than a year after her son had part of his finger bitten off by a dog when he posted a flyer through a letterbox.
Police told her at the time dog owners whose pets attacked people in the home, unlike attacks in the street, could not be prosecuted.
But now the Association of Chief Police Officers want this changed after a spate of dog attacks, including on police officers.
