Bowling club members are furious after their club was targeted by vandals.
Members were shocked to find the green at Frinton Bowls Club had been ruined when they arrived on Wednesday morning.
A spokesman for the club said: "We are so fed up with the problem and nobody seems to be doing anything about the thugs who cause the vandalism."
Sgt John Scott, of Walton police, said: "It is an area we patrol regularly during the day and the evening and we will continue to do so."
