Once again pensioners will be benefiting from an alternative event put on to coincide with the annual Oyster Feast.
But it will be fish and chips on the menu rather than oysters when the Alternative Oyster Feast is laid on for the elderly Colchester residents on October 27.
Colchester Labour Party, in co-operation with Colchester Trades Union Council, will again host the event at the Arena Leisure Centre, Circular Road East.
After the fish and chips have been tucked into, guests will again be treated to musical entertainment.
The official Oyster Feast takes place at the same time in the town's Moot Hall.
