A charity cyclist and fitness enthusiast has been reunited with his prized bike after an appeal in the Evening Gazette.

Raiders broke into Brian Telford's Clacton garage and stole his unique racer, which is worth £500.

The 39-year-old triathlete was set to cancel a string of long-distance fundraising rides after losing the much-loved cycle.

He was hugely surprised when youngsters knocked on his door and handed over the Carrera racing bike.

Mr Telford, of Tewkesbury Road, said an anonymous person provided information which led to the bike's return.
