A couple with a disabled son have spoken of their disgust at thieves who stole a wheel from their car.

Tahnee Bird, 31, and her husband Lee, 35, of Birch Avenue, Dovercourt, went to change a flat tyre on their car, only to find the spare wheel had been stolen and the aerial ripped off.

Mrs Bird said: "The car is a lifeline for us and our ten-year-old son, Tyler, who cannot walk.

"Whoever did this must have seen the disabled badge and the fact we park in a disabled parking bay."
