A YOUNGSTER from the Stagecoach Colchester theatre school can be seen in the new Daniel Radcliffe movie, the Woman in Black.
Ashley Foster, ten, plays the son of the mysterious, ghostly woman in Radcliffe’s first major film since the Harry Potter series ended.
Ashley used to live in Colchester, and still goes to the stage school, even though he now lives in Nedging Tye, in Suffolk.
Ashley said: “It was very exciting to be starring in such a big movie.
“Daniel Radcliffe was really nice. I also met Ciaran Hinds and Liz White.
“The whole experience was great. At times it was quite scary, but the whole crew was supportive and made filming enjoyable.”
The Woman in Black is based on a ghost story by Susan Hill. It enjoyed a hugely-successful run in London’s West End as a stage play.
The film was released on Friday and is rated 12A.
