Police are appealing for information about three Tiptree burglaries in Tiptree.
A Barbrook Lane resident woke to find an intruder in her bungalow at 3am on Thursday morning.
A wallet and jewellery were taken.
Two further properties, both in Vine Road, were also targeted.
A handbag and purse was stolen at one address and thieves disturbed another during an untidy search.
Anyone with information is asked to contact A/DI Terri Hooke at Colchester on 101.
