Colchester Council may be indignant about Channel 4’s depiction of our young drinkers, but does not the same council issue licences to late-night bars, thereby promoting binge-drinking?
Please, consider the damage being done to young people’s health.
We should take this embarrassing exposure of our town’s uglier side as a warning that something is wrong, along with a chance to improve it.
We need to clean up our act first, then think about tourism, city status and the like.
A return to true Christian values would see less drunkenness and its attendant crimes, accidents and injuries.
