A SENIOR lecturer at Essex University is giving a free talk about how animals and humans make group decisions.
The Cafe Scientifique event will see Dr Ed Codling, lecturer in mathematical biology, discuss recent research on the general principles of collective decision-making by herds and crowds.
His talk will be followed by an open discussion.
The talk is being held at the Love Bistro in the Minories Art Gallery, High Street, Colchester.
Doors open at 6.30pm on Wednesday February 8 and the talk starts at 7pm.
