A MAN is fighting for his life after a wasp attack in Colchester.
David Tull, 52, of Castle Road, was gardening at a home in Alton Drive, Lexden, when he was attacked by a swarm of wasps.
He immediately fell into anaphylactic shock.
Earlier this year, Colchester Council visited the property to clear the nests, but one was apparently missed.
Quick-thinking friend and fellow gardener Penny Upton helped him before paramedics arrived.
He remains in an induced coma at Colchester Genral Hosptial.
