I am writing on behalf of the Amalgamated Society of Doves, Pigeons, Sparrows and Allied Avian Operatives to pass on my members thanks for the wonderful new facility which is being provided for us in Colchester at St Botolph’s.
Thanks to the 200 metres of shelving on the exterior of this new roosting tower, we have calculated that 1,200 of us can perch there at any given time, and this gives us more than adequate opportunity to display our decorative skills with the white and green matter.
However, it has been pointed out by my brother pigeons that the width and spacing of the shelving provides easy access for other non-bird building users to climb up without the aid of a ladder, disturbing our eggs.
This state of affairs is a matter of concern to my members and therefore we propose to have a sit-in on the said shelves until further notice.
