New chapter – Sophia Bennett opens the library with Lucy Newman and Holly Folkard-Smith
AN AWARD-WINNING children’s author was the special guest at the opening of a new library at St Mary’s Lower School in London Road, Stanway.
Sophia Bennett, author of the Threads trilogy, which is due to be televised next year, cut the ribbon and held creative writing sessions.
Librarian Valerie Cassell said the new library was much bigger and better and was more accessible for the girls at the school.
