A MAN has been rescued by firefighters after jumping into the River Colne.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to a bridge over the river at East Hill at 9.30am following reports a man, believed to have mental health problems, was jumping off.
He got stuck in the mud and was rescued by the fire brigade by 10am and brought to safety.
Ambulance crews took him to hospital.
