AN ELDERLY woman has appealed to council bosses to build a proper walkway along a busy stretch of road after she fell over and was nearly hit by a car.
Beryl Dominguez, 70, of Station Road, Thorrington, said she feared for her life after falling over while crossing the busy Colchester Road, in Thorrington, on the way to the post office last Wednesday.
Mrs Dominguez is now hoping highways bosses at Essex County Council can make the road safer by putting in a dropped curb.
