I have just read the MP for Colchester Bob Russell’s appalling article concerning his four-day visit to the West Bank and East Jerusalem (Gazette, June 9), where he and his group were briefed mainly by those who are opposed to the presence of Israel.
Does he feel he is now able to champion the cause of the Palestinians?
He must be naive to believe everything he has been permitted to experience.
Mr Russell is simply poisoning the minds of readers who are not fully conversant with the true facts regarding the nation of Israel.
Let’s finally destroy the myth that the Jewish people have stolen and occupied land belonging to the Palestinians.
It is true many Palestinians are suffering, but not at the hands of the Israelis, rather Hamas and Fatah.
Why can the six-year-old girl mentioned in the article with bone cancer not visit an Israeli hospital?
The Red Cross recently reported there was no humanitarian aid crisis in Gaza, and, in the southern Gaza town of Khan Younis, there was now a water amusement park – and this area is often referred to by mainstream media outlets as a refugee camp.
