We would like to thank all the members of the public who contributed to the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices box collection for the Treehouse Hospice at Ipswich, which raised a total of £184 on June 4 at the Triangle Shopping Centre, Frinton.

Thanks also to the Co-op store for allowing the collection to take place.

Our new, purpose-built Treehouse Children’s Hospice is now open after reaching the target of £3million to build it in four acres of woodland, and will now be able to help more children and their families in north Essex and Suffolk.

It contains a hydrotherapy pool and music therapy room, as well as other important facilities, and is the first of the charity’s hospices to be custom-built in East Anglia.

Once again, on behalf of the Colchester Friends Group of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, many thanks to all those who supported the collection. It is greatly appreciated.
