A MAN has been left fighting for his life following a crash near Tollesbury.
Emergency services were called to Tollesbury Road after a red MG sports car was in collision with a silver Ford Mondeo travelling in the opposite direction.
The 50-year-old MG driver, from Romford, was taken by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, where his condition was described as critical.
A 64-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Mondeo, was taken to Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, with serious injuries.
The collision happened on a bend between Tollesbury and Tolleshunt D'Arcy at about 3pm on Sunday.
