COMMUNITY spirit was in full force during a traditional carnival celebrating its 60th birthday.
The Brightlingsea Carnival featured floats from dozens of groups and clubs and Tendring Council chairman, Alan Goggin, who cycled along dressed as Andy Pandy to support the event.
An array of colour greeted visitors with floats and performers helping to make the carnival a success.
The carnival, which included stalls and refreshments, was raising funds for charities in the town
