THE unsung heroes of our community were recognised and rewarded during a special ceremony.
The Colchester Community Awards, presented by The Rotary Club of Colchester Trinity and The Daily Gazette, were held at The Headgate Theatre on Saturday night.
The awards, which were launched to mark the rotary clubs 25th anniversary, were given out to men, women and youngsters from Colchester who have all given their time and energy to some very worthy causes.
All eight categories were sponsored by local businesses.
