COLCHESTER DJs Paul Hutchinson and Darryl Wright have conquered Ibiza – now it’s London!

The two friends reunited at the end of last year and, with a passion for playing house, they formed SlavzIIHouse.

They started off where it all began, DJing in their home town, but since then have gone global.

Just back from three days in the dance capital of the world, Ibiza, the duo have been buzzing so much, they’ve decided to continue their good run by trying out a few club nights in London. Paul explains: “Ibiza was just amazing. What an experience. We took 15 people with us, friends and partners, so it was almost like a holiday. We even took our bongo player with us, Mr Shed from Silk Road.

“The first night was pretty good at Viva bar and then Hush, but the next evening was pretty special.

“We started off at the Hed Kandi pre-party and then it was on to Es Paradis, which was incredible.

“There were 600 on the dance floor, so there were some nerves. On my first mix my hands were really shaking, but we soon got into it.

“It was like scoring a goal for a Premiership football team, except it went on for longer.”

Now they’re looking to do the same over here, with a high-profile gig at one of London’s top clubs, Pacha.

“For a start it’s a lot closer to home,” Paul laughs. “We did a recent night at Egg, in London, when we took a whole load of DJs from Colchester up there. That went down a storm, so we’re trying it again.”

Taking place on July 9, the boys are running a coach to and from Colchester to the venue, priced £25, which includes entrance to the club.
