A TEENAGER was indecently assaulted by a man as she walked across a field in Colchester.
The 18-year-old, from Colchester, was in Magnolia Fields, on the Greenstead Estate, when she was approached by a the man in the early hours.
He spoke to her, but she ignored him and continued walking.
She was then struck on the head and knocked to the ground.
It is believed she briefly lost consciousness, but when she came to she managed to push him away.
He indecently assaulted her before she ran off.
The man is described as white, aged between 16 and 18, was between 5ft 5ins to 5ft 6ins, of average build, and had very short or shaven blonde or light brown hair. He was clean shaven and spoke with a local accent.
He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with a small logo on the front, white tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.
Anyone with information about the incident, which happened at about 1am on Tuesday, is asked to call detectives at Colchester CID on 0300 333 4444.
