NINE jobs are under threat after it was announced a large Colchester town centre store was to close.
Staff at Waterstone’s in Culver Square were told yesterday that the bookshop will close for the last time on Sunday.
The other Waterstone’s store on nearby Colchester’s High Street, which became a Waterstone’s in 1998 after the Dillons stores were taken over, is unaffected.
All nine full time and part time staff face redundancy, although they have been told they could be offered jobs at other stores.
