A SOLDIER who lost his legs in a bomb blast in Afghanistan has been rushed to hospital with suspected meningitis.

Sapper Ashley Hall was complaining of headaches, lights hurting his eyes and other symptoms so was taken by ambulance to Colchester General Hospital last night.

He is currently on a drip and awaiting blood test results with doctors treating him for the illness.
