Job Title: Sub editor
The Role:
You could be part of the subbing team producing two Newsquest Essex daily papers, the Echo and the Gazette.
We're looking for a flexible and enthusiastic journalist who can lay and sub pages for both papers and associated publications.
At least one year's newspaper layout and text editing experience is preferable. However, we will consider applications from experienced reporters looking for the next challenge.
The Echo publishes editions for Southend, Basildon and Castle Point and has an enviable sales record. The Gazette is the daily paper for Colchester and north Essex and is published in coast and Colchester editions.

The Person
Good organisational skills are essential to the role as is the ability to work well within a busy but vibrant team.
