I would like to say a very big thank-you to the young women and the elderly couple who came to my aid when I tripped over a pavement slab, in Lexden Road, Colchester, on Thursday, September 24.
I was in such pain at the time I didn’t think to ask their names. There are kind people in the world and I sincerely appreciate their help.
However, shame on the Colchester Grammar School boy who from across the road glanced over and walked away, before the others arrived.
