A TEENAGER who went missing has been found after a two hour search.

Police were called by the 16-year-old's worried parents around 3.30pm on Tuesday.

Assisted by Thames Coastguards, community officers, dog rescue teams and the Lowland Rescue team, the police launched a search for the boy in the Walton-on-the-Naze area.

Initial reports suggested the teenager, who was visiting the area on holiday, had threatened to throw himself off a cliff top.

Sergeant Pete Gerard, from Walton Police, said: "We were called by a family member concerned about their 16-year-old son.

"Due to the circumstances, we tried to locate him as quickly as possible. After a two hour search, we managed to locate him.

"He was cold and wet and was checked over by paramedics before being taken to hospital."

The teenager was unharmed in the incident.
