THEY’VE been rockin’ all over the world, but Status Quo will be appearing in Ipswich later this year.

Their 28-date Quid Pro Quo tour visits the Regent Theatre, on Tuesday, November 16.

The rockers have already confirmed shows in 15 countries this year, and will delight fans in the autumn with a special record release.

Singers and guitarists Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt claim they’ll be firing on all cylinders by the time the winter tour arrives.

“We cannot wait for the UK winter dates,” says Francis.

“We’ve been halfway round the world already, so it will be great to get out on stage in front of our unbelievable home crowds. Playing in the UK is so special to us.”

Rick adds: “It doesn’t matter how many thousands of miles we’ve done on the bus, by the time the tour starts in Southend, we’ll be ready to rock.”

In 2009, Status Quo were crowned as Britain’s hardest-working band in the Arena Venues category by the Performing Right Society, and made their first appearance at Glastonbury, on the main stage.

Francis and Rick were awarded OBEs in this year’s New Year Honours for their services to music.

On September 26, the band will release a new version of their hit In the Army Now, on Universal/UMC, with all profits going to the British Forces Foundation and Help for Heroes charities.

Doors to the theatre, in St Helens Street, Ipswich, open at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £34.50, with a £3 booking fee per ticket. Call the box office on 01473 433100.
