YOUNGSTERS met Colchester firefighters at an open day.
An inflatable assault course, a guide dog and a teddy bear parachute jump were all part of the event. Budding firefighters also got the chance to get on board a fire engine and the crew got a soaking in a sponge throwing competition.
The fun day raised money for the Firefighters Charity, which helps firefighters and their families if they are killed or injured.
