A FORMER Colchester soldier who is the most seriously injured to survive the Afghan conflict has donated £1,000 of his own cash to a cause close to his heart.
Ben Parkinson has campaigned since his injury in 2006 to raise awareness for causes.
He is patron of Pilgrimbandits, founded in 2005, and just this week, Ben donated £1000 of his own money to help support this years' campaigning.
