An ambulance crew has praised members of the public who provided shelter for a 27-year-old woman cyclist who had been involved in a collision with a car in Witham.
The accident happened at the junction of Honeysuckle Way and Flora Road at about 5.40pm yesterday.
Paramedic Mick Hone said: "Bystanders had come out and shielded her with their cars, had covered her with blankets and had an umbrella over her.
"She had a possible fracture to her left arm and had extensive bruising and cuts down her left side.
Mr Hone said: "We do want to say a big thank you to the members of the public who provided shelter and support in this woman's hour of need."
