A walk around the historic town of Manningtree is the highlight of a programme looking at Essex's past.
The Essex Record Office has released its schedule of events from August to December - with Manningtree at the forefront.
In addition, the office is also putting on Discovering Your History sessions, covering house and family history, and guidance on getting to know the records office.
