A chalet was destroyed after fire ripped through the building.
Fire crews from Clacton and Weeley were called to the building at Point Clear, behind the Ferry Boat Inn, at 9.10pm on Friday.
Sub-officer Simon Bates, of Clacton fire station, said: "When we arrived, the bungalow was probably 90 per cent destroyed."
