Job Title: CASH COLLECTOR

Main Objectives:

* To be responsible for the collection for payment of copies with via cash (Pay-at-Door) or alternative methods (Direct Debit/Pay Direct).

Job Requirements:

* To provide a reliable and efficient collection service for the Gazette and sister weekly papers to all Pay-at-Door customers on your allocated area, on a weekly basis.
* To complete and maintain accurate customer payments.
* To maintain and promote alternative methods of payment on your area on an ongoing basis.
* To encourage Pay at Door customers to pay in advance prior to holiday periods.

Responsibilities:

In order to achieve the above job requirements the Cash Collector must:

* Keep and maintain accurate details of all customer payments.
* Ensure that the amount of customers' money owed to the Company is accurate at all times. Any discrepancies or shortfalls in collected monies will be your responsibility and, as such, you will be expected to re-imburse the Company.
* Collection books must be available at any time for inspection by a Company representative.
* Gazette provided paperwork must be used at all times and customer signatures must be obtained.
* Encourage existing Pay- at- Door customers to convert to alternative methods of payment.
* The level of outstanding customer monies must be maintained within the agreed limits.
* Any changes to customer information must be passed on by agreed deadlines.
* All company monies must be collated and banked on a regular weekly basis.
* All payment records and paying in slips must be returned to the office on a regular weekly basis
* Company vans must be kept clean and tidy at all times
