A woman was lucky to escape unhurt after a car smashed into her home in Halstead.
Carol Rosoman was in the conservatory at the back of the house, in Head Street, at about 1.50pm on Friday when a red Peugeot 406 crashed into the front of the house after colliding with a Renault Clio car.
No-one was injured in the accident, but the impact destroyed much of the brickwork at the front of the building.
